July 14, 2007

Join CHAMPS Members for Second Saturday on Capitol Hill. This week, we're highlighting some great places to enjoy Capitol Hill's favorite afternoon and evening event.

Chateau-Animaux will include a dog adoption event, and a special Bastille Day "Yappy Hour," with guest artist Astri Kleivdal.

The Washington Humane Society's adoption van visits Chateau Animaux from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Potential "parents" are encouraged to consider adopting a new friend!

The Second Saturday Yappy Hour, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., features gourmet, all-natural Zanadoo Dog Biscuits for your dog, and wine and cheese for you!

Chateau-Animaux will also feature new works by Capitol Hill resident Astri Kleivdal. Astri's murals, which will be on display in Chateau-Animaux's windows, depict the animals of an animal shelter and cat hospice close to her heart, Rude Ranch. Additional information about the shelter can be found
here.

Astri will be donating her murals to the shelter and Chateau-Animaux will be accepting donations to benefit Rude Ranch during the Yappy Hour.

On Second Saturday, Chateaux Animaux will also holding a drawing for a free case of wine. There is no purchase necessary to enter to win.

Chateau-Animaux is located on historic Barracks Row on Capitol Hill, at 524 8th Street, SE, Washington, DC.

Marty's (527 8th St. SE) is offering customers a free glass of wine with dinner and a free dessert for the kids! Check out the events at Chateau-Animaux and drop by Marty's for a bite to eat!
